Albert Diaz-Saldana


Albert Diaz-Saldana, M. D. joined the College Street location of Eye Centers of Southeast Texas in 1987.  Dr. Diaz provides comprehensive eye care with specialties in cataract surgery, glaucoma, and general ophthalmology.  For the past 23 years the people of Southeast Texas have trusted their vision care to Dr. Diaz.  He treats a wide range of medical eye diseases and specializes in no stitch cataract surgery and premium intraocular lens immplants, including the new technology of toric and multifocal implants.  Dr. Diaz continues to set the standard for optimum eye care in Southeast Texas.  He strives to provide a caring and convenient setting for patients and their families.   

Dr Diaz graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico in 1975 and was a member of the Honor Medical Society of the University of Puerto Rico Medical School in 1979.  He served his internship at San Juan

City Hospital and his residency at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus and affiliated hospitals.  He was the Chief of Ophthalmology Services at Baynes Jones Army Hospital and Chief of Ophthalmology Services at Fort Hood, Texas where he was a Major in the Medical Corps.  In 1987 he relocated to Beaumont and joined Eye Centers of Southeast Texas. 

Dr Diaz is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the Jefferson County Medical Societyand the Beaumont Academy of Medicine. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Ophthalmological Society.
